Quaint boutique coffee joint with an inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately, however, the "sticker shock" of $9.05 (incl. tax) for a 16-oz. iced mocha will prevent me from returning on a regular basis. For context, the price displayed on the menu board was $6-something, which I later learned was for a 12-oz. mocha. A $2 upcharge for the next size up (which is not shown on the menu) is a bit steep. For comparison, the Starbucks within walking distance just down the street currently charges $6.75 (before tax) for a 24-oz. venti caffè mocha—which includes the same 3 shots of espresso as the large size from RRC. So from a VALUE standpoint, you can get 50% MORE beverage from Starbucks for $1.50 LESS (pre-tax). As for taste, flavor profile, and overall quality, the iced mocha from RRC was comparable to Starbucks. It was a bit creamier and not as bold, which accentuated the sweetness of the mocha. There was nothing "special" about it that made it better than Starbucks, nor would I rate it any worse. Is was just a little different, and in my opinion, equally good. Rockford Roasting Company is such a welcoming place! The baristas were incredibly kind and gracious in allowing me to photograph a portrait session there this past Saturday, and I truly appreciated their hospitality. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and full of character, making it a wonderful place to relax or meet with friends. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato, and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for creating such a welcoming space. I look forward to visiting again soon!

Excellent coffee. It was the best lavender cold brew I've had yet. Loved the kind service, and all the plants made it feel so vibrant and cozy.

Stopped into RRC this morning and was so happy with the warm service, cozy atmosphere and delicious beverages. The staff member, Ord, answered all of questions with patience and enthusiasm. After, he came out to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Highly recommend!

Update: Came back for second visit and once again the coffee did not disappoint. This time I tasted a crisp;tasty espresso with fruity notes. Overall still good. My husband and I came to Rockford to pick up a shipment. We found RRC on Google. We love loca coffee shops and I’m an espresso snob; drinking espresso for over 20 years. The shop overall is nice and impressive. The roast is a nice and light nutty flavor yet subtle. I ordered the latte which was delicious but would have enjoyed a flat white a little more for a richer taste. I also ordered their croissants which were super delicious. All of their pastries are plant-based which I would give them 10 stars if I could for that reason alone. I hope to visit Rockford again just because of this place.
